Christopher Bernier

Christopher Bernier was appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England in 2015. As chief operating officer, Bernier is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of several key company departments including relocation, education, marketing, Previews luxury marketing, ZIP Realty, and other supporting departments.

With 25 years of experience in the residential real estate industry, Bernier has served in a variety of roles during his distinguished career including sales associate, sales office manager, and senior executive.   

He most recently served as regional vice president of the Metrowest and Western Massachusetts regions of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of 18 offices with approximately 900 sales associates and staff serving the suburban communities west of Boston and in Western Massachusetts. 

Bernier began his real estate career in 1990 as a sales associate with Coldwell Banker and quickly emerged as one of the company’s top-producing real estate professionals. In 1993, he was ranked among the company’s top 1 percent of Realtors nationwide in dollar volume production.  In 1994, Bernier established and managed the Coldwell Banker office located in Lynnfield, MA, growing the office to 45 sales associates. 

He was promoted by the company to serve as executive vice president in 1997, directly managing the sales and operation of six offices with more than 200 sales associates and $600 million in property sales annually.  

In 2003, Bernier was named regional vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Metrowest region, which encompassed 15 offices and approximately 680 sales associates and staff.  In 2011, the company’s Western Massachusetts offices were added to his region.  

Prior to establishing his career in real estate, Bernier was a cost accounting manager for Fishery Products International in Danvers, MA. Bernier received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College.   

Bernier serves on the board of directors for MLS Property Information Network (MLS PIN), the primary multiple listing service for Eastern Massachusetts, and is a member of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
